FAQS

We see coaching as a gift. For most of us, there are few scenarios where we are given a confidential, safe space entirely focused on us and what we want to explore or develop.

Even in sectors where reflective practice or supervision is embedded as the norm, we receive feedback about how much people value having a protected space to pause, reflect, reframe, and progress goals.

Typical outcomes from leadership coaching include:

  • Improved professional/supervisory relationships
  • Greater professional authenticity
  • Clarity about decisions, direction, and next steps
  • Renewed energy and motivation
  • Strategies for future scenarios
  • Increased confidence in competence
  • Self-belief that future challenges can be resolved through self-coaching

It all depends on what you want to explore.

We can coach around any leadership-related topic(s). Coaching initially focuses on exploring which topics are most important and relevant. Common topics include:

  • Balancing professional and personal identity
  • Career progression
  • Overcoming feelings of being stuck or demotivated
  • Developing confidence and competence
  • Performance management and addressing challenges in supervisory relationships
  • Leading transformational change
  • Exploring personal strengths
  • Transitioning to strategic roles
  • Strengthening authentic leadership style (a favourite of ours)

While our coaching is leadership-focused, we work in a way that recognises you as a whole. We’re comfortable supporting coachees who reflect on the connection between their professional and personal identities. Our positive, facilitative approach ensures the coaching space lightens the load, even when addressing complex topics.

We primarily conduct sessions over Microsoft Teams but can also use Zoom. We do not conduct coaching over the phone, as it tends not to work well for either party.

Whether online or in-person, it’s important to:

  • Find a private, interruption-free space where you’re comfortable
  • Allow time before and after sessions for preparation and reflection

For face-to-face sessions, the venue usually depends on the coachee’s location, and they would typically need to source the venue if required.

We recommend a gap of 3 to 5 weeks between sessions. This timeline provides enough space to embed actions from a session without allowing momentum to drift. All sessions can be booked in advance.

If you need to change your booking, that is fine. Just use the cancellation/move my booking on your confirmation email. We ask that you make changes no sooner than 24 hours before an appointment but do get in touch if you have an emergency so we can try to reschedule.
